BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA has unveiled a preview for episode 5, scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 16. Midori Goto (known from BanG Dream! It’s MyGo!!!!!) wrote the script, with direction by Daiki Uchida (Metallic Rouge) and storyboarding by Tomomi Umetsu (Narenare: Cheer for you!). Here is a brief synopsis:
Feigning normality, acting full of vigor. The uneasy feeling can no longer be kept hidden. In a distant place, a lone gear starts to slip out of alignment—
Mugendai Mewtype (Yumemita) is made up of five female VTubers: Nakamachi Arale (vocals), Miyanaga Nonoka (lead guitarist), Minetsuki Ritsu (rhythm guitarist), Fuji Miyako (keyboardist), and Sengoku Yuno (DJ). This is the only group among the franchise’s ten main bands that lacks both a bassist and a drummer. The series is adapted by NICHICALINE, with character designs by Osamu Nobusawa and Mochipuyo.
Crunchyroll and Muse Asia stream the anime, with Muse Asia describing it as:
“Waaaaaah!!” The members are abruptly tossed together to debut, each with unique talents—but they’re utterly unprepared to actually form a band. Can these girls and their group survive this situation!? Even when the sound stops, resist.
